Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she dropped her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than an number. The album, made available at just 15 years old it went Gold. The collaboration was strongly in the style of R. Kelly, and put the singer on the map. She collaborated in 1996 with Jermaine Dupri as well as Timbaland to record her follow-up album One In A Million which featured the hit number one single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah became a household name for her work as an R&B artist with the launch of her sophomore album, One In A Million. In 2000 she starred in the action and romance movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Her role came about when she was spotted by film director Joel Silver at an awards show. She was born in Connecticut to an Indian family. Indian heritage. Mann is a contraction of her marriage first name Mankad. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar as well as Aarti Munn as professional names. Though her first career was dominated by minor films and television roles, she gained more prominence in the mid-2000s. Alongside The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) She's appeared in many commercials for Volvo's international automobile producer. She lives in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting career.
